You may have noticed the makeover. Well a friend wanted me to a do a theme for him so I am using my own blog as the one to develop on, so you’ll notice changes, makings, and breakings. Have fun :D

btw, this post won’t be tweeted. Just cba’d. Yay, acronyms ftw!

So, you think we live in a democracy? Nope! You actually DON’T get to choose your leaders or get to have any form of real say in your government. It’s weird, eh? In 1933, there was a plot to overtake the US Government and put in a Fascist government, and this is what they wanted:

We use military power to enforce our political and economic policies. It is always done, according to official announcements, for high, shining moral objectives. In our schools, our churches and synagogues, as in unctuous pronouncements by heads of state, we are told to live by a set of nobly-expressed morals but are expected to acquiesce when governments openly or surreptitiously violate them. We still tamper with governments that displease us; we still instigate revolutions in countries which will not accept our “guidance;” we still send our men to fight in foreign lands, to kill and be killed, without having declared war. If any average citizen violated the U.S. Constitution as constantly and consistently as those who took solemn oaths before God and their fellow men to uphold, defend and protect it, he would be behind bars in short order.

So, in the end, we’ve ended up there. Also, for the leaders thing, the government gives you a few people it’s okay with running the place already WITHIN the government then you get to ’sway’ more people from the government to cast their votes one way or the other for who should be president. In the end, you really do not do that much. Hate to say it but it’s true. History books call for a rebellion, I’m waiting…

Now for point two…CHRISTIANITY!

For those who didn’t know, I am in fact, a Christian. I bet you would NOT have said I am ignorant. Hmm, so there goes the idea that ‘all Christians are arrogant’. Also, I am willing to sit here and actually discuss religion with you, I hate people who sit and yell about one thing over the other and how one is way right and wrong, as that is what true ignorance is since they are not getting a full picture. I was told though, by church officials that I have a very deep understanding of Christianity and what it actually is, and how many people don’t get this far in it. Many people however, would call my views non-Christianlike. Here is just why I am what I am. The key is combining both science AND Christianity, as well as applying the Bible to real life.

I’m a Christian Because of things like…

  • There is proof of a flood around the time of when the Bible says Noah built his arc and there was a flood
  • Records say there was a man named “Jesus Christ” from the area and time from when the Bible says
  • DNA shows everyone can be traced back to one girl in Africa which goes along with a location near the Garden of Eden

Also, certain views that I think should be made clear are, it’s okay to be gay AND life isn’t all already planned out for you. For the gay thing, it’s God’s solution to a population problem. Initially, they were populating the world so ideally, it was better to be straight. But now-a-days, in a heavilly populated world, many more people it seems are born both straight and gay. Yes, you are BORN that way. It is NOT a choice, it is how you are made. GOD makes you that way. So, if you have a problem with gays, you have a problem with God. Same could be said for how many are openly giving themselves the low five. Also, I do not feel that life is already completely planned out for you already. At birth, you are given certain gifts and pushed in a certain direction, but after that it is up to you to keep on going and make something out of yourself. Otherwise, if everything was just to happen, life would be pointless since it would just happen. Also, if everything is already planned out, then you do NOT have free will, which today the belief in churches is, is that you do have free will, but also that everything is already planned out. WHAT? Exactly. Here is what I am saying, God hands you gifts, like a little baton, you take them and can either do great things, which some people do which is a lot of hard work or do nothing and you get out of life what you put into it, but it was all your choice because in the end you chose to do it as you have free will.

Hoped you enjoyed the read.

This happened on Friday; we got homework the night before and were to fill it out. This was a simple “Look in the book for some answers and write them down.” THREE of TWENTY kids turned it in. In another class only SIX of around TWENTY turned it in as well. What is going on there? The teacher is just like “Oh Well” too. Apparently homework given at the bell can just be forgotten and oh it doesn’t matter because obviously the teacher didn’t explain it so we can’t do it.

Really? I felt it was pretty self-explanitory. It was a chart, it asked for the leader of the country, what countries border it, the government type, and what the definition of that type of government was. Do you really need that EXPLAINED for you? If so, well let me tell you this is a very fucked up generation. We’ve thrown English out the door in favor of ebonics and TXT, and we have attention spans that last 15 minutes due to the excessive amount of TV that is watched.

I was walking by an elementary school on my way home from school, and I saw 4th and 5th graders on their cell phones. This just is wrong, they don’t need a cell phone at that age. Worst of all, it wasn’t just the kid having it in their backpack or pocket, no, they were TEXTING with it. What is this world coming to?

So I was reading this story about how a company has the technology to produce certain sound waves that are undetectable by the human ear, and then sound like they come from within your head. How is this legal? This is like brainwashing, but internally. With this technology, anyone could make anyone think anything, buy anything, vote a certain way, act a certain way, etc. These devices apparently can be installed at cash registers and stuff, well what is to keep someone from putting it right at a voting booth? No one would hear it except for the voter, and well there goes elections. On job interviews you could bring the device in and make people really like who you are.

With this ability,  people are at the mercy of whoever owns it. I mean it’s bad enough on TV all the messages sent to the public there, just imagine if that bias was in your head as if they were your own thoughts.People are easilly tricked as it is, from external sources, and if their own head lied to them, well our sheep would become even more loyal.

So what do we do? What can you do? Thoughts sent into your head and they aren’t real, but since they are there they must be real. Maybe someone can devise some sort of sound wave filter, maybe we outlaw this. Heh, outlaw it, yeah right. We’d use it to keep it lawful. Imagine if this was used in torture situations, heck you could probably drive someone crazy with it. Why not add some water boarding too? It’s all legal, right?

If this thing keeps going as it is, soon  people will just accept that water boarding is fine, marijuana is the root of all evil, and the Republicans are always right. We’ll also grow to accept that Terrorists are very real and every guy must go join the army.

Hmm…army, we could have sound guns and simply blast messages at our enemies. Soon the people with the technology would own the world. This kind of technology should never be used; no matter what the purpose is.

Ducks From my other blog, I used to do a “WTF Of The Week” moment in which I would find the oddest part of my week and post about it. Well, deciding to start that up again, I have the perfect story to start this off.

It was on Wednesday in Biology class, we were setting up to do grasshopper dissections and all of a sudden a family of ducks walks into the room and runs to the back. I have no idea how they got into the school, and the fact that a sweaty bald man (some teacher) was chasing them, trying to get them back outside. After the ducks freaking out, we finally got them outside and had to set up this barrier system of people so they would go outside.

Just pretty odd when out of nowhere ducks run into the room. It’s especially weird considering the door they entered and where the classroom is at school, which my only guess is they had been running around for quite some time before visiting my room.

On another note, seems Hillary is basically out of the race. She only won Indiana as well because of the Republicans voting for her, and until she drops out we have three political parties. H-Democrats, O-Democrats, and Republicans. Oh how fun.

Hmm, haven’t updated in a little more than a few days…probably should get on that. Lately I’ve been really busy with school work, Raspberry Linux, Python, a Web Design Contest, and so yeah.

Tempted to do a web comic every now and then.

Elections. They tear people apart and in all the fighting, backstabbing, and everything there is a winner. We call that winner “President” and they control our lives for the next 4 years.

Following this year’s, everyone as of recent has gotten rather bad. Obama can no longer speak in his (as others call it) “Amazing” speeches, Hillary is just…well good ideas but I don’t trust her in there, and then McCain seems like he’s just there.

I really don’t feel like going along with any of those people, they just all are “meh”. Obama isn’t strong enough to do anything, Hillary will do stuff but in her own odd way, and McCain will go along with what is already there. Looking at the last few years, our choices have been poor. In the 2000 election, we had Bush or Gore (I wanted Gore and was right to want him >.>), Bush of course is elected and stuff begins to happen. In the 2004 election, we have Kerry or Bush which we were forced to choose which person would screw less stuff up, yet again the USian people failed and chose the wrong person.

Now we are in a place, and I’ve outlined what will happen if each person gets in there. If you want some sort of change, but don’t care about how it’s done, then go Hillary. If you want a guy who makes you feel good but won’t do anything, go Obama. If you want no real change in the next 4 years and doesn’t make you feel good, go McCain.

When you are at that booth, just go ahead and write  “MrEggsalad” on the line. Trust me, I can’t be worse ;)

So apparently people anger me much more than I previously thought. I was in band today and we were sight reading, well after that is done everyone is to pass the music up to the front of the section (me). A guy decided to mess it up and swap all the parts around, so 2nd chair and I had to fix it, and then the teacher was like “Where is the sax music?” I go and say “Noah fucked it up.”

I couldn’t believe I said that to the teacher, I didn’t get in trouble for it, but heh wow. Maybe there is some pent up anger in me after all…

Oh, and if you were offended by the language in here, normally my stuff will be clean but if something is said that is offcolor, may as well go out and say it because doing this: “sh*t” doesn’t help at all. Is that really censoring anything? I know that it helps keep the pronounciation safe from younger children, but I mean eventually they’d say it and their parents would be all “ZOMG!”. If you are to censor something, I say just take it out all together.

Also, I never could figure out why on TV for the word “asshole” they would do this: “assBEEP”. Shouldn’t it be “BEEPhole” ? I mean just from a censorship point of view and all..

I know I’ve always said “I’ll never get into social networking, people use it incorrectly.” Well, I’ve found out about a network that does only what a social network should, give updates of every second of everyones’ lives. It’s called Twitter. If you want, you can go follow me, and see just what it is I do.

I’ve decided to start blogging again because I feel I have many opinions that need to be voiced. I’ll be blogging on Marshmallow Hat instead of mreggsalad.net because of the awesome name “MarshmallowHat”. I bought this domain a year or so ago, never really used it..anyways yeah. I’ll get theming this site too in time.

A very good point was brought up about Adobe’s AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) about how it’s not different from Java’s idea. You have a language that works on all OSes, it runs in a virtual machine. This is true for both Java and AIR, so why would Adobe choose to make this? Here is where the differences come in, AIR is for the web. Java was ment as just a regular language, but AIR is all web stuff. But can you really do well with something that looks vastly different from the OS itself. Yes Java looks different too, but at least it’s more native. With AIR, it’s no more than really another widget engine designed for web purposes. Is that really better? AIR I believe trys to be a widget engine in disguise. However, I want someone to prove me wrong and show how AIR can be just as good as anything else.
